Frequently Asked Support Questions
1. How do I broadcast a 10 km Biker SOS Distress Beacon?
Open the Wayora app, tap the large red “π‘ SOS BEACON” button at the bottom of your navigation HUD. Select your breakdown category (Chain Snap, Fuel Dry, Towing Required, Puncture, or Medical/Hypoxia). Confirm broadcast. Your coordinates and vehicle details will instantly alert all active Wayora riders within a 10 km radius.
To cancel: Once assistance arrives or your issue is resolved, tap “Resolve Beacon” in the app to clear the alert from neighboring riders’ radar.
2. Why does Wayora need background location permissions?
When driving or riding on highway corridors, your phone screen may turn off to conserve battery. In “Sentinel Mode,” background location allows Wayora to monitor upcoming hazards and sound audio warnings (e.g. “Caution: Boulder slip 1km ahead”) before you reach the danger zone.
3. How do I report a new road hazard?
Tap the “+ Report” icon on the map screen when pulled over safely. Choose from Pothole, Landslide, Waterlogging, Oil Spill, or Roadblock. Other passing travelers will confirm the hazard with a single tap, building its dynamic Confidence Score.
4. How do I join or create a Carpool Convoy?
Navigate to the “Convoys” tab in the app. Enter your departure point, destination, and departure time. The algorithm will show verified travelers with an 85%+ route match. You can request to join their ride, coordinate fuel stops, and use the encrypted trip radio chat room.
5. Can I use Wayora in remote zones without mobile internet?
Yes! Wayora caches trail coordinates, offline Himalayan topographic maps, and emergency phone directories for Ladakh, Spiti, and Zanskar so you retain GPS location tracking and elevation profiles even without cellular service.
